Our Mission
The Flat Rock Archive, Inc is dedicated to the preservation of the history of the Flat Rock Community and the African-American Slaves and their descendants; and to sharing the experience of rural African-Americans from bygone eras with future generations.
The Archive has received both local and national recognition for its heritage preservation efforts and was featured in the 2006 series of African American Lives with Dr. Henry Louis, Gates Jr. featuring Chris Tucker.
We are proud to be located within the City of Stonecrest, Georgia, just East of Atlanta, Georgia. It is important for us to maintain a positive image within the local community, and we are excited to be part of this growing community.
