Current volunteer opportunities include social media engagement, website creation, archiving materials-both digitally and with hands-on primary sources, transcribing primary sources, creating a database of artifacts, working to create engaging local community programs, creating money-making opportunities, and working on organizing community involvement days.
The Flat Rock Archive Inc., in Stonecrest, Georgia, preserves African-American history through its collection of artifacts, records, and the historic T.A. Bryant, Sr. House, dating back to 1917. It also oversees the Flat Rock Cemetery, a testament to the resilience of enslaved people, playing a crucial role in safeguarding and celebrating the rich heritage of the rural South.
